How to wire 2 dvc 4 ohm subs to mono 1 channel amp for a 2 ohm load?

  •  I checked the wiring diagrams and did not see it. Is it possible to wire two 4 ohm dual voice coil subs to a one channel mono amp for a 2 ohm load?
  • 2 dual 4's can either be wired to 1ohm or a 4ohm load, either you r going to have to run 2 amps or just run a 4 ohm load, but with the 4 ohm load, depending on what amp u have, will decrease the output power of the amplifier. amps like the slash and pdx have same output at both 2 and 4ohms.
  • No, 2 DVC 4ohm subs can only be wired at 16, 4, or 1 ohms.

What amp do plan on using with these subs? (Additionally, what subs are you looking at?)

If the amp is 1ohm stable, you could wire the subs down to 1ohm. Otherwise, you would just have to run them at 4ohms, but most likely at a reduced power output. (In which case you would probably need to look at other amp or sub options.)
