Kenwood MP5028 CD/Aux not working

This question is answered

I purchased a MP5028 awhile back and had it installed in my Dodge Durango.  Sold the Durango, bought a Jeep and tried to throw it in (has the same wiring harness).  When I plug it in, the radio works fine, but I get no audio in CD or aux mode.  Any thoughts on how I can get the audio working again?

  • Vehicle is a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee with an amplifier.  Switching that one lead did the trick.  All is working as it should.  Thanks!

  • What year/model Jeep.

Most likely, there is a factory amplifier and you have it's remote turn-on lead connected to the MP5028's Blue Power Antenna Lead, rather than it's Blue/White Remote Amplifier Lead, but that's just a guess (Thanks Shawn) from your symptoms.

    Hope This Helps!!!
