Which receiver is best for Energy 5.1 Take Classic Speakers?

  • After searching for hours for a speaker system in my price range, I've concluded that the Energy 5.1 Take Classic speakers are clearly the best.

However, after searching for hours for the best receiver to go with those speakers, I get a different answer every time.  I want updated technology and of course great sound.  I would like to spend perhaps between $250 to $350, but price is less important than quality.

I would appreciate your suggestions very much.

  • While there are plenty of receiver models that can do the job, I personally like the Onkyo TXNR509 for the money. With high current amplification, HDMI switching (4 in, 1 out), Audyssey auto calibration, and network streaming capability, this model is an excellent value for $299.99 (Limited sale price as of this posting).

    HTH!

Anyone else have a good recommendation?
