Our Crutchfield video, "Creating a Connected System" has Tara and Malcolm explaining the basics of setting up an Internet-based home entertainment network (such as the Linksys® by Cisco Premier Kit, pictured at right). They explain that such a system basically needs a modem for Internet access, a router to distribute that access, and a computer to control it.
Tara and Malcolm talk about a few examples, such as streaming Netflix from a Samsung BD-P3600 Blu-ray player or Xbox 360™, and what gear they need to be connected to. The pair also show some of the options for playing music throughout your home, including the Linksys by Cisco Media Hub. And they mention some of the other options you can find in our Learning Center article, A Look at Connected Audio/Video Gear.
