About the Photo Club

Crutchfield’s photography enthusiasts decided to start a club where we could share photos and talk shop. Every few weeks we choose a topic and shoot pictures for that theme, then get together to look at our work and compare techniques. On this blog, we’ll share some of those tips and highlight a few photos from each theme. Plus, we’ll answer questions about photography in the comments.

The fourth topic in the photo club was “Reflection.” The idea was to have the subject in a mirror image on a shiny object, or where the main subject would be reflecting a pattern or a background. In the photo at left, the focus is on a spoon that is reflecting a ceiling fan above it (click on image to enlarge).
