Crutchfield's Sony ES BDP-S5000ES video features Amanda and Julie discussing a few of the outstanding features this Blu-ray Disc™ player offers. They point out that Sony's "ES" designation stands for "Elevated Standards," which is apparent in the build quality of the S5000ES Blu-ray player. Julie notes the component's rugged frame and beam construction, as well as the seperation of circuit boards to minimize corss-interference.
Amanda and Julie discuss the quality of the advanced video processing, and point out that the S5000ES does a superior job rendering color gradations, making color transitions look smooth, instead of showing discrete color bands.
Amanda also notes that the player is great for audio, too, with 7.1 channel audio outputs (as well as HDMI). And they point out that the S5000ES can play AVCHD DVDs at full resolution, so video from your HD camcorder displays in all its glory.
