Our Samsung LED HDTV video features Julie and Steve discussing the major points of these LCD HDTVs. They cover the details common the 6000, 7000, and 8000 line of Samsung sets.
As Julie and Steve explain, these remarkable TVs are incredibly thin — just over one inch thick. They all come with four HDMI inputs and full 1080p resolution. The big story is the LED backlighting, which delivers improved color, contrast and shadow detail. And Julie notes that LED are more power-efficient than LCD backlighting. These sets typically draw 40% less power than comparable LCD models.
The two also outline the differences between the model lines. They note that the Samsung 6000 line features a 120Hz refresh rate and USB input. The 7000 line is web-capable, and uses special widgets to display news, weather and other information supplied and updated by Yahoo! The top-of-the-line 8000 series features a blistering 240Hz refresh rate for the smoothest image motion currently available.
