Our Canon VIXIA HF S00 and HF S10 video has Tara and Zak discussing some of the key elements of these two high-definition camcorders. Zak points out that the cameras can shoot in 1080i, comparable to high-def cable TV. The cameras can shoot up to 24 frames per second, the equivalent of film speed for motion pictures, and records to SDHC™ cards.

Tara and Zak call out some of the user-friendly features as well, such as the camcorders' light weight (just over 1 lb.). There's a brief demo of the combined instant auto focus with face detection feature, which helps you to quickly focus in on people far away. Zak mentions the image stabilization function, which helps keep those shots steady.

Both the Canon VIXIA HF S10 and HF100 can automatically shoot and then string together 4-second clips, letting you create a mini-movie on the fly. Kristen shot one of her puppy for her review of the Canon S10, and it's shown in this video.
