When recording on my hard disk camcorder, I noticed that it "splits" the file in two, after about 20 minutes of recording. This makes a short gap (abou 1/4th of a second) in the recording and it can be very ennoying when capturing some music or dance scenes. Are there some HD camcorders which have a different file size limit?
I don't know of any hard drive camcorders which will let you record an endless length file. I believe you will be limited to a set file size with any of them. Anyone have an idea?
There is probably also video editing software which would allow you to merge the files and eliminate the gap (well, maybe not, if it is a gap in the recording rather than a gap in playback from switching files), but it's probably better if you can avoid that as well.
Anyone else have suggestions?
