Ok so a couple days ago i sold one of my friends an amp and when i had it, it worked fine. But today he called me and said it stopped working. so i took it back and hooked it up in my pickup because i thought it was just bad RCA's but it didn't work either. So does anyone know whats wrong with it because the power light turns on but no power goes out the speaker output.
Check the fuses ? Remote wire ? What amp is it ?
I checked all the fuses, and its not the remote wire because the amp turns on, but just that no sound comes out of the sub, and i also tried multiple speakers and they dont work either so the sub's not blown. Its a Rockford Fosgate R150.2
Ok so i found out that its not the amp that doesnt work. It is the sub, but i dont know whats wrong with it because its not blown, its a kicker tc10 and i cant get it out of the box to see if the wiring went bad or something happened in the box because with a multimeter theres no ohm reading on the box terminals
Whay can't you remove the sub from the box ? Sounds like a wire has came loose inside.
LL2015with a multimeter theres no ohm reading on the box terminals
I agree with GLH that it sounds like the wire inside the box has come loose. You really should pull the subwoofer from the box and check it.
LL2015, have you had the opportunity to check to see if there was a wire loose inside the box?
