What amp for 2 12" Kenwood w3011's (50-400rms) in a Q-logic box?
YogiSan16
I am wondering what amp I should use to power two Kenwood w3011 12" subs (400rms each) in a Q-logic box. I have my eye on the Infinity reference 611a (657rms x 1 at 2 ohms). I'm wondering if that means I would get 328.5 watts to each sub, and if so would it matter that they are underpowered...

This is the first time I have ever posted on a message board so I hope I dont screw this up too much.. I recently purchased the Rockford Fosgate Punch P550.2 to power two Kicker Comp VR 07CVR124 12" Dual 4-Ohm Voice Coil Component Subs. I plan on running the speakers into a 2-Ohm load. They will be in...

That sounds like a good system. The only thing I could find that may be better for your system is a Boston bass package that we put together. It should give you the level of bass that you seek. Any other ideas?

First timer amp question.
Pluto
This might sound like a silly question. I would like to power a set of component speakers in the front doors of a Honda s2000 and a single sub in the trunk. Do I then need a 3 channel amp? Can I use a 4 channel and bridge two channels? What is the best way to drive 3 channels? Thx.

Old man needs 1st amp for a 12" sub
TERrific
Hello people, I'm new to car audio. Just put in my first non factory stereo in vehicle of mine. Well after that, I am deciding to get an amplifier and a sub. I have already picked out the sub. It's the Infinity Reference 1252W. It says it can handle 300W RMS and 1200W MAX, but I'm not too keen on much...

4 Channel amp hookup question.

I have a pioneer head unit with a front speaker rca output, and a subwoofer output. I am purchasing a 4 channel amp. My questions are this: number one does the front rca output on my deck control all 4 front speakers, or just the front two speakers? My original plan was to bridge the amp to run the subwoofer...

Re: LOOKING FOR BEST SOUND
Paul
I would recommend the 3rd option. This will allow you to use all of your equipment (to get better sound from the 6-1/2" speakers). The power handling of your subwoofer and the speakers is fine and should work out well if you can find a tri-way crossover. Now, you should still find out (if you do not...

garrotbunx: How much of a difference wud it make if I had 2 subs? Could i then wire one subwoofer in series with the left 6x9 speaker and the other in series with the right 6x9? If I do it this way, can it kill the amp? If they are a pair of matching subs, it makes a huge difference. You want them in...

Re: advice on a boat system

i agree with tiger on this one a "small" 4 channel amp will really make the rest of the system will sound good. use a seaprate amp to power a sub. you have a couple of choices here. you can build a box for the sub and make sure no moisture can get in to the speaker or the wood. I recomend coating the...

Re: advice on a boat system

Okay, there are many things that need to be taken into consideration. First, when an amp is ran in tri-way mode (which the AP600 is capable of), you will need a tri-way adapter. We do not have one at this time, but we used to offer the PAC TM-100 tri-way crossover. This adapter can only be used with...

If you want to use the stock location, then there may be a few that will fit. You can use our vehicle fit guide to find out which ones will fit into the stock location. This should help you get an idea of what to look for.

Amp EQ QUESTION
SoundstreamBumps
When an equalizer (Kenwood KGC 4042-A) is in use and throttled up, does that make the amps put out more watts? Or does that just increase the decibels? Also I have two 700RMS subs and two RF Punch 800 amps. Should I give all 800 to each sub? Or can the amps be tuned to only give 600-700 RMS per sub?...

I did some checking on Rockford Fosgate's web site and they show the T1693C speakers as handling 110 watts RMS. This means that you will want to get the JBL GTO75.4 II 4 channel amp to power them. After researching your subwoofer on other sites, it appears that it will handle up to 300 watts RMS power...

JCF07, You have made an excellent match. The subwoofer will handle up to 300 watts RMS and the amp will outputs 300 watts RMS to it. Great job!
