I have kenwood dnx-8120 and was looking for a good center channel solution. I found this Pioneer TS-CX7 Center-Channel Car Speaker by searching online. What I can't find is how this speaker would actually connect to the deck. Is it rca's or regular speaker wire. I like this one because of it's size and I don't really have any other holes in the dash left to put one in. I have a 2008 trailblazer ss. Any thoughts would be great.
You are correct in that you will use the preamp output for the center channel and connect your center channel in that mode. You will need an amplifier to provide power to it. Most of the time, these type of speakers do not come self-amplified.
I think you can go either way here with your install. Component speakers can normally handle a lot of power and give you a nice soundstage. That may be the easiest way to go.
Because my name is on the business, I work hard to make sure you get the best possible shopping experience. I look forward to hearing your comments .
