My brother recently purchased a BAMF 1250\2channel amp along with Kicker CVR 15 (not sure if 2 or 4 ohm) I will find out once he can tell me.
Spec on the AMP:
The sub RMS is rated at 500 watts
My question to the community is whether or not he can run this safely. I'm doing the install, but not that savvy when it comes to pairing subs & amps. Can I get the best scenario if the amp is either 2 or 4 ohms? I just want to connect this for him to run this safely and correctly.
2-channel amps are poor choices for subs.
BAMF 1250 uses two 20A fuses, so it likely puts out about 300W RMS bridged.
Best case is he has a DVC-2-ohm subwoofer that you can wire for 4-ohms bridged to the amp and get around 300W RMS to it.
Worst case is he has a DVC-4-ohm subwoofer that you would wire for 8-ohms bridged to the amp and likely get around 225W RMS to it.
Hope This Helps!!!
Anyone else have suggestions?
