I want to put a hard hitting sub system in my car. Im looking a getting 2 12" subs. I have a '92 pontiac grand prix. I was looking at getting these 2 subs... (rockford fosgate p2d2-12) With this amp (Kenwood KAC-9105D) In this box... HBX 12MJDB<Mod Edit: Per our linking policies, please link to the manufacturer or to the Crutchfield site whenever possible. thanks. > So I'm wondering if that would be a good setup or if something needs to be changed... Im not an expert on this so any help would be greatly appreciated. (also if anyone has a completely different setup that they think would work for me then let me know, ill be glad to hear it.) thanks
The amp and subs seem like a decent match. This JVC is on sale right now and i think it beats the Kenwood.
I couldn't find specifications on the enclosure you listed. I wouldn't recommend getting any enclosure (especially a band-pass box) without knowing at least the internal volume. The P2's magnets are probably too deep to fit in it, and frankly that type of box is intended for weak subs.
Ok that sounds good. and from talking with a friend I think I might go with Type R's instead of the rockford fosgates...
