JL Audio W3v3 2-ohm or 4-ohm

This question is answered

The question that I am posing is that I have a JL audio JX500/1 mono amp and I am looking to get one 12w3v3 but I do not know which is better to get a 2-ohm or 4-ohm for that particular amp.  If somoeone could enlighten me on the two options I would very much appreciate it.  Again thanks for any help that I receive.

  • Your amp is 500W RMS at 2-ohms and the 12W2v3 is rated for 500W RMS and is single voice coil (SVC), so the 2-ohm sub would be perfect for it.

    Anyone else have suggestions?
