So I think I accidentally put some voltage into my RCA's which fried my RCA sub output on my headunit.
My Headunit is a Kenwood DDX6019 double DIN headunit
The sub output no longer works but both the front and rear outputs do. everything else is fine on my headunit. I took it apart to look at where the rca's go inside the headunit. All the outputs go into a single plug. So what I am wondering is... Instead of sending it in to get it repaired for about 100 bucks plus shipping would it be better to try and order the RCA output cables and plug them in? would that fix it or could it be something else other than the wire?
Most likely it is the components (or a fuse) on the circuit board and not the wires themselves that you fried. I think you could test the harness plugs with a meter, but you are likely better off just letting Kenwood repair it for you.
Hope This Helps!!!
