Hi Jeff, I'm at a loss and don't know what to say. I've been on site from time to time and just now, I see a whole new looking web site!!! wow , looks nice!!! but I wonder were the heck I've been. One thing I'd like to see is the search bar available even when you are in the forums without having to hit the "shop" button first, and maybe even have the search open in a new window.
If somebody is talking about a head unit, I'd like to be able to jump right to the Crutchfield page describing it without having to leave the forum by hitting "shop", then entering the information, then going to the page, then backtracking three or four pages to get back to the forum page.
And maybe either customizable avatars, or at least more options?

We did launch the new version of the community earlier this month. Not only is this a new look, but you should see new community tools appearing over the next several months - as this platform gives us more flexibility than we had before.
If you have any suggestions of things you would like to see, or things you think we should try - just let me know.

I'm not sure on the possibility of this - as the current search is hard coded into the community software (i.e. we don't have the ability to change it). We might be able to add a separate search box though ...

There are some copyright issues around avatars that we need to deal with. However, we do plan to add more options as far as the avatars you can select from. If you have specific ideas about the type of avatars you would like to see, please feel free to shoot me a message. Also - if there is anyone that has some design/photo editing chops - and would like to take a swing at designing some avatars - we would love to see that as well (just shoot me a private message about it).
