Just installed an Alpine receiver in my 2005 Honda Accord and it sounds great.  The Crutchfield MasterSheet was very helpful.  Want to pass along something I ran into.  When I first installed the unit my reception was terrible.  I went out on the web to see if I could find anything.  It turns out that a number of cars (Honda, Audi etc) have amplified antennae.  Which years, you would have to check.  Since I don't have a power antenna (it's on the rear window), I skipped connecting the power antenna lead from my car harness.  That cut off the power and I ended up with poor reception.  Once I figured out what was going on it made a tremendous improvement.

Thanks for the tip! This should help some people with poor reception out there.

That's a good tip.

Since harnesses often cover many models / generations of a car, there could easily be a power antenna wire on a car without a power antenna, thus it wouldn't be an obvious thing to connect.

Speaking of which, I just moved a head unit into my '99 Accord and I doubt I connected the power antenna wires since it doesn't have a power antenna.  Any idea of the '99 had an amplified antenna?  I get good reception.  The '99 is the 6th generation, the '05 is the 7th generation.

And JP, your font is really small.

Thanks for the tip! This should help some people with poor reception out there.
