If both units are described as factory intergration and the KOS-A300 uses all the features of the new KTC-HR300,ie iTunes tagging; is there a possibity that Kenwood will upgrade the KOS-V1000 to incorporate this function with new software? I thought the KOS-V1000 was the flagship of the factory intergration units,could be mistaken. Any insight to this would truly be appreciated. thanks

That is a really good question and unfortunately the only people that I know of that might know the answer would be Kenwood themselves. Typically, when there is some sort of upgrade available for a unit, we will hear about it or it will be posted on the manufacturer's site. I dont' show anything on our end, so your best bet is to probably go straight to the source and give Kenwood a call at (800) 536-9663 or 1-800 KENWOOD.

Thanks Warren for your insight. Called Kenwood got through pretty quickly', but I guess I stumped this particular tech. Kept telling me that could possibly have the set up that I have ,because it would not work. Got bumped up to the next level,was told ther probably won't be a software update to include iTunes tagging for the KOS-V1000. That I would have to get the KOS-A300 to use that feature. Oh well they a just machines I will not let them beat me....Thanks again for your help.
