alright ive heard different things so i decided to ask one of you helpfull experts on this one: Should the subs face the rear of the vehicle or front? (i have a jeep grand cherokee so there isn't a trunk between the subs and my ears) and should i use a cube/rectangle shaped box or a wedge shaped box? (for 2 10"s)

thanks!

Making your box closer to a cube shape will require the least amount of wood to get the same internal volume.  That means less weight.  If you make it into a wedge, you can maximize effective use of cargo room by allowing the box to rest up fully against the seatbacks.

There's no easy answer on which direction to face your subs.  I use a reference 10 in a small sealed box and move it around til i find the location it works best in.  Besides forwards and backwards, you may like the sound of having them down-firing, or even facing up or to the sides.  Personally, I liked the sound best in my jeep with the box up against the rear seat, with the subs firing down.  here's a pic

In most applications, facing the subs toward the rear usually is the loudest.

Build a rectangular box and try it facing forward then up then back and just see which one you like the best.
