A different sub would sound better, but you will most likely need a different enclosure or at least a decent amp for it to perform well.

Wiring info.

It looks like the same amp runs the sub and mains - so you can only disconnect the sub, not the amp - highlight the white text to see what wires to use and individually end-cap the wires so you don't short anything out.

Hope This Helps!!!

Ight so i am thinking about be going with 2 10" subs instead of that one 12 just for the simple fact that  they will be under my seat and out of the way. Anyways i was thinking about raising my rear seat 2 inches to gain more space. Anyone heard of doing that?

Definitely not unheard of, but you may have to fabricate some custom brackets so that the back of the seat is secured to the rear wall of the cab.

alright so we looked at it and it would be point less to even lift it because if u lift it the bars at bottom of seat lift with it also. Im just gonna go with one 10 in the middle of back seat instead of a 12 just trying to decide on either AQ HDC3 10", DD 1510, or FI BL 10".

The stock amp powers all the speakers so you will not want to disconnect it. However, you could unplug the wire going to the subwoofer and that still stop it from working.

You don't HAVE to disconnect it, but generally the aftermarket sub will sound much louder, cleaner, and overall better than the factory one, so having both of them playing would worsen the overall sound quality.

Easiest thing is just to individually cap off all the wires at the subwoofer itself (or you might be able to unplug it and tape over the connector end.
