Within minutes of connecting my ipod Nano (4th gen) to my new JVC Arenal KDA605 through an ipod connector and the unit's usb port, the ipod skips, freezes, stops working/responding, etc.... (all sorts of problems).  The JVC is set to control the ipod from its head unit.  The ipod never does this when playing alone or when connected to other devices (computer, ipod radio in house).  I've had to reset it numerous times and once even had to re-load all the software and songs.  Has anyone ever had this problem?  Is this a JVC issue? A KDA650 issue? an ipod connector issue? Or even an ipod issue?  Again, it never happened until the ipod was connected to the KDA605 and never happens if not connected.  Any suggestions?

You can also try a different USB-iPod cable. It wouldn't be the first time I've seen one work in one place and then have problems in another.

I know that you mentioned you reloaded the software. Is it the latest version for the iPod Nano? If not, you should update it.. Also, you may want to check the connections to make sure they are plugged in all the way. Please post back and let us know what happens.

Yes, when I re-loaded the software it was with the most up-to-date Apple software (Nano, 4th gen).  I checked the cables and they are snug, but the problem persists.  Any other suggestions?  Has anyone else had these problems?
