Need some help.  I am getting a static sound through my speakers when the music is turned down real low i am getting this no matter what I am play weather it be a CD iPod or just the radio, I get the static sound it only goes away if the radio is completely powered off. This never happened with my factory system, but since i upgraded i have been getting this static any ideas why?

You most likely have a grounding problem. Check your entire system grounds. Ground all components to the same grounding point, if possible. Ground to bare, clean sheet metal, making sure nothing will get damaged on the other side. Use a large self-tapping sheet metal screw and ring terminals.

Also, if you have an amp installed into your system, you may want to try a ground loop noise filter. This can be an easier solution and should work since you always have the noise. We offer the PAC SNI-1 for this purpose and has gotten favorable reviews.

Please let us know how things work out.
