Hello,

Just a quick question....bought a sirius radio the other day....love it but the static from the wireless connection was bugging me....so I bought a direct RCA cord today. Now my in car radio (CDA-9884) cant control the volume on the radio when its on aux....I'm sure its just the settings that are screwed up but can anyone help me?

It would be much appreciated!

Jordan

It sounds like you've only been provided with half of the parts you'll need. The cable you describe is simply an AUX in cable, which requires a compatible AUX in connection. The CDA-9884 does not inherently have a AUX input connection, however one can be added using either of the Alpine adapters Cobb mentioned in his previous replies (KCA-121B & KCE-236B). I'm going to assume your current set up is using the wire provided to you to connect direct into the RCA pre-amp outputs. This is not good, and should be disconnected immediately as this output is meant for outputting a signal to an external amplifier or processing device only.

I went to my local electionics store where I got the Deck and the sirius radio....they gave me a cord that says on the label "6FT Aux In Cable" with the sirius logo on it.
