Alpine 9886 vs KDC x693

I was wondering what thoughts are on the 2 HU's Apline 9886 vs the KDC x693. I am not sure which one I am going to purchase at this point. I compared the specs and the x693 seems to have many, many options some useful some not as much...

The X693 has more sound contouring capability functional out of the box. The CDA-9886 can be openened up to extensive contouring using the Imprint options for the 9886, but this is an additional cost of course. Personally, I'm a big Alpine fan and tend to stick to their receiver options. What they do, they do incredibly well.

the 693 has a slightly better sound processor built in, but the alpine is amazing. it's really 6 to 1, half a dozen to the other.
