This is what Im thinking of doing right now.

I will be putting a jl audio 10w3v2 into it. It will just fit in the box by about a quarter inch. ITs mounting depth is 5.75 and i believe this will be 6"   The subs xmax is .549 and I will be giving it an inch under the box so it won't be hitting. Id prefer it to have more space but thats not an option, this is going under the seat in my 2002 f150 extended cab.

I havent figured out my air space yet, but im sure it will be over the .675 cubic feet it requires.

Also the box needs to get skinnier to fit over the hump in the middle of the truck

Also the top piece of mdf is going to be half inch to give me a little more depth and i am going to put some polyfill in

Any recommendations?

I sure wouldn't use 1/2" on it... If you have to , at least put plenty of bracing in it. Have you considered doing a fiberglass box?

Im only going to be using half inch  on the top piece. I need to have some more room for my sub in the box and that quarter inch will be enough room. I can't drop the sub any closer to the ground either. I need at least an inch of room under the box for the sub. Im going going to brace it quite a bit

also I have no experiane with fiberglass, and don't want to pay someone to do it.

Finished Product  minus the carpet.

Im waiting for the calk to dry so I havent wired the sub in yet, but the box is done.

Hey ! The interior of that truck looks familiar, except mine is all leather. Same color. I have the MTX fitted box under rear seat with 2  10". Rocks. What speakers are in your doors ?

Cool

Yea, if I ever blow my 60 watts RMS Kenwoods (trying lol), I might give some 90 watts RMS Infinity components a try.

Cool
