I recently purchased a DNX7120 and installed it in my car. I purchased the IPod adapter cable and it connects and music plays great. However, after i start my car back up, the IPod music does not resume play. It comes back to the most recently played song, but is paused. Is there a way to make the song automatically resume so that I don't have to wait the 15-20 secs for the screen to come up where I can unpause the music?

Well if that's what's happening then I have to attribute it to software or a defect. You'll either need to send the unit to Kenwood for evaluation (repair) or simply wait and hope a future software release for the Kenwood resolves the problem. It's not something I've seen as being a widespread probelm though, so it is likely to be something specific to your unit.

Anything with the iPod is going to resume according to the last thing it was doing. If you had it playing a song when you plugged it in, it will continue to play that song from the beginning. If it was paused when you plug it in, it will still be paused.

When you turn off the radio, the iPod is automatically paused and after about 90 seconds will then go into sleep mode. When you turn the receiver back on, the radio reconnects to the iPod and resumes from where it sees the iPod. In this case, the iPod was paused and you will have to restart the iPod manually.

What you are saying makes sense, but doesn't seem to coincide with the results I am having. Probably 1 out of 5 times the music resumes playing without any intervention - even if the radio\car has been off for hours. If what you are saying is correct, then how come some of the times the IPOD resumes play automatically and other times it doesn't?
