I'm hoping that someone out there in the electrical field can give me an honest answer even if you don't know just say it. I'll appreciate that instead of nothing. The problem is while I'm driving the wipers will go on and go into a delay mode. I've had several mechanics and here's the big surprise is that they each had a different diagnosis, fron the computer $$$ to a switch in the steering column, and I guess there might be a little computer under the dash  too ? Can anybody shed a little light on this topic? As always thank you in advance for ant and all help. Have a great week coming up  :)  Here's my other dilema, my wife & I just bought our 1rst home :D and I need a TV< She told me that I can get what I want within reason of around $1500-$2000   I don't know too much about  the new technology just what I heard from other friends that all have a little bit to say about getting 1 that has @ least 120HZ-240HZ th screen size, all the way Plazma to LED to what brand. They said that plasmas burn a picture in the screen and some sporting events are blurry, It's really getting confusing. Any help for a newbie in flatscreens. Oh I want to add that I have a surround system with some what I think are great Polk speakers & a Harmon Kardon 7.1 reciever so I need to match that up to something nice. Any and all suggestions would greatlt be appreciated. Thank you all that take the time too read this thread and leave some sort of input. God Bless and stay healthy to you and yours.

I've got bupkis on the wipers.  sorry.

I was slow to get a flat panel tv,  but i got one almost a year ago and they are nice.  I was worried about burn-in, so i went with a LCD type.  The picture was beautiful but after a while i was a little disappointed with the frame rate.  I play xbox on it and some fast action games look a little jittery and when its especially high paced, the image is blurred compared to my old tube.  Dark scenes also lacked detail, with most blacks blurring together instead of showing degrees of shade.  That tv was 1080p @ 60hz. This year i saw a plasma on sale and thought it would solve all those problems.  It did to a degree, but it has downsides of its own.  The first downside was made clear right away, when i learned that i can never lay the unit flat.  That made it difficult to transport, and its quite a bit heavier.  I turned it on and started playing BioShock.  Right away i was desperate to find black curtains for every window, because it reflects glare like its a mirror.  The picture, however, was much improved.  I could identify details in shadow that were washed out before, and colors looked more natural.  The plasma screen's refresh rate is 600hz, but i wouldn't say it seems that much faster.  It's surely better, but i don't think i could tell a difference between a 120hz and 240hz refresh rate.  Going from 60hz to 600hz is just not that great of a difference to me.  I think the game console itself is actually limited to a 60hz frame rate, but i'm not sure.  I still worry about burn-in with the plasma, but they do have new technology to prevent it and its not as much of an issue as when they were first coming out.

On the wipers - it really could be any of the things that you mentioned - what kind of car are you dealing with? - did it always do this or just start doing it, and did you change anything (install a new stereo, re-wire the A/C controls) right before it started happening?

On the TV's - CF has some good information in the learner's section, but there are some misconceptions as well.  Generally, Plasmas are better for movies and dim rooms.  LCD's are better for gaming and bright rooms and LED LCD's are better than flourescent ones.  There are also some misconceptions with some of the specs as well - for example 1080p is better than 1080i or 720p, but it really doesn't matter on smaller than a 42-inch screen, but with that budget, I doubt you are looking at that.

Hope This Helps!!!

You guys may be surprised to know that some plasma models are actually becoming quite popular with gamers. Gaming is not my area of expertise, but a lot of the serious gamers here at CF have either already switched to the G10's and G15's, or have expressed their desire to.  I was talking to J.P. about it recently and he mentioned the only reason gamers had held out at all was due to the previous phosphor trail issue which was prevelant for some folks when gaming (some people notice it, others don't). I'd ask him to chime in here, but he just went on vacation for 2 weeks.
