The only compatable ipod adaptor listed for the DEH-P880PRS is the CD-IB100II. I was just wondering if this was in fact the case, or just a case of dated specs since this HU has been around for a bit. Does anyone know if the CD-IU205V or CD-I200, for example, will work?
Thanks, JT
First, I want to say that the CD-IU205V will not work. That one only works with the Pioneer AVH-P5100DVD receiver.
As for the CD-I200, I cannot find anything to indicate that it works with your DEH-P880PRS. However, after looking at the information on Pioneer's web site about it, I don't think it will. I could not find anything that stated the P880PRS had a built-in iPod adapter.
I think you had best go with the CD-IB100II interface.
Anyone have other suggestions?

I'm not an expert on this, and I recommend you contact a CF advisor or Pioneer directly, but from what I can tell, I think only the CD-IB100II will work.
All three adapters seem to use the same IP-bus terminal, but the Pioneer website doesn't list the newer adapters for it, and the CF HOR tab for the newer adapters says they work with Pioneer HU's "with built-in iPod adapters", which I think must be some of the electronics in the CD-IB100II.
Hope This Helps!!!
Anyone else have suggestions?

Thanks for the responses guys.
My thinking is that the CD-IB100II gets its ipod "integration" from that module, and the ipod section of my 880PRS is just an interface to access it, whereas the newer HU's probably have that programming/hardware built in and require only a cable to connect to it.
In any case, I bought the CD-IB100II.
Thanks Again, JT
