I have a reg cab s10 and I was wondering how subs sound facing the back of the seats? Does it sound bad being so close to a seat or is it ok to have it that way?

As long as the cone doesn't actually touch any part of the seat while playing, it will sound fine.

to me i like the sound!  the reduced air space infront of the cone alows a "pre-load" on the cones and produces a cleaner bass with less noticable distortion.  i have about 2" of clearerne from the cone and the seat back.

I have maybe an inch or a sconce more between 10" woofers and underside of my back seat. they sound great. Tight and accurate in a sealed box.
