I am looking at buying some of the Kenwood KFC 6982ie 6X9's! They claim that they are 500 watt flush mounts. I have a Rockford Fosgate punch 500,will this combo work? Also they say they are flush mount,I have a Ram 2500 and I am concerned about the windows being able to clear these! These are 5 way 6X9's! Please help!
Honestly, if you are as picky about clarity as you say you are, I would make a speaker bracket/baffle and put the 6.5" components in the front, running off the Punch 180-2. 6x9s are great for bass and volume, but not for sound quality or clarity.
In any case, as I said before, the speakers you listed before should be able to take the 125W of the Punch 500-2. Most speakers rated for 90W RMS or above should do well off that amp. Just make sure that you actually audition the speakers for yourself before making any purchases.

They are 500W peak, 90W RMS. The RMS rating is the one you should be focusing on to make any buying decisions.

Which model? If it is the P500-1, you have a mono subwoofer amp, which will not work. If it is the P500-2, you will get 125W RMS x 2 @ 4ohms, which will be a little on the high side, but should work as long as you adjust the amp and HU settings accordingly.

What year is your Ram? Regular or Quad/Extended Cab? Base audio system, or upgraded (usually Infinity, but differs depending on the year.)
CF has a very useful tool for checking what equipment will fit in your stock locations. Input your truck info here.
Ok,what I have is a 2005 Ram 2500. It has the full 4 doors. I am installing a Memphis Audio M3 12" that I have with a 800 watt amp,I have that figured out. I have looked on crutchfield about speaker size's for the doors and it's not correct. It claims 6X9's for the front and 6.5's for the rear. The 6X9's inthe front is correct but the rears are 5.25's. Now what I have is a stock speakers as of right now. I have Infinitey kappa series 6.5's already that I wish I could put in the rear and a Punch 180-2 for them, these speakers have the crossovers. My Punch 500 is a 500a2,I was wondering if there was anything in 6x9 that would handle this amp? I have heard that mtx makes a 6x9 that would work although I am not very familar with them. I am picky about clarity!I am on some what of a budget though. Also have you ever installed 6x9's in the rear of one of these?
I meant have you ever installed 6.5's in the rear of one of these, not 6x9's! ooops
What kind of 5.25" speakers would you recommend to be ran off the deck?
Pioneer and Infinity both do well off HU power alone. The Pioneer will have the edge in the lows, but the Infinity will shine in the highs. Both are a little on the bright side, and will open up with an amp, but are a solid choice for your truck.
I agree with the branding, not sure I agree with the price for rear fill powered by the head unit. (Although even I would likely go with the TS-A's over the TS-G's).
Hope This Helps!!!

Keep in mind, clarity also has alot to do with your headunit, amp, and any other system components, not just the speakers.
