Hi, im going to buy a new sound system, and i definately gotta go with the JL subs, but i dont know if i should get two JL 12w3's or just one 12w6, and can anybody recomend me some good amps for these subs, i used to have a 12w6 but it got jacked and i know it bumps hard, also which 1 of these two setups has better sound quality and which has more db SPL ?? thanks

Errrm - the 12w3's are 500W subs and the 12w6 is a 600W sub.

Generally, speaking, two 300W subs would outperform (more air volume) a single 600W sub, so there is little question the w3's with 1000W will be louder than the 600W w6.

I can't talk about sound quality between the two, though.

If you went with 12w3v3-4's, the Alpine MRP-M1000 or Kicker ZX750.1 would be good choices.  For 12w3v3-2's, the Sundown SAZ-1000D or Hifonics TXI-1008 or several other amps would work well.  For the 12w6v2-D4, the Alpine MRP-M500, Kicker ZX500.1 or MTX JH600 would be good choices.  The JL G1700 would work with either - a bit much for the w6 and a bit low for the 12w3v3-4's.

Hope This Helps!!!
