Has anyone figured out a fix for the horrible accuracy on the xbox 360 controller directional pad?
I'm a PC gamer so I can't offer too much input.
Is there a way to calibrate the control pad? Accuracy problems are never good in game.

The red controller for the Xbox 360 has an improved D-pad, but I'm not aware of a way to fix an existing controller. If I am going to play a fighting game I generally use my PS3. The directional pad is much better IMHO.
Well i haven't tried a red controller. Didn't know they were different. I can't pull off Sho-Ryu-Kens without accidentally jumping and it makes a lot of Xbox arcade games too frustrating too bother with.
If there's no way to calibrate the controller pad than it's not worth the frustration.
Sticking with what you know and feel comfortable with is the best way to rack up a good K/D ratio in games. :)
I just wrapped up Dead Space Extraction on the Wii. It was good, but difficult to adjust to (coming from PC to the Wii controller)
Well i stood in the store staring for a while, trying hard to see some indication of an improvement, but despite my doubts i got the red controller. Either i've suddenly become very good at Street Fighter or the d-pad on the red unit is indeed much more precise. I got the Hyper World Champion achievement my first try! So glad i posted. Thanks a ton, JP. I'm so pleased i think i could do a spinning bird kick.
