I just bought 2 8" Kicker solo-baric L7 4 Ohms for my jeep and now need an amp to go with. I want to stay with a kicker but not sure what to get. Installing in a jeep wrangler enclosed custom box. Thanks for your help. I have never owned a pair of subs...sorry out of the loop!!!
Your subs are DVC-4-ohm, 450W RMS each, so you can wire them mono at 4-ohms or 1-ohm, or stereo at 2-ohms.
Personally, I would recommend a mono 1-ohm rated amp like a Sundown SAZ-1000D or Hifonics TXI-1008 or TXI-7508, but if you want a Kicker (good but not 1-ohm stable), I would recommend the ZX850.2 in bridged mode.
