Is it posssible to wire a single two ohm sub to a 4 ohm 2 channel amp?
Sure, just run off of one channel.
BTW, we love model numbers! I personally get a thrill running up my leg when i see things like PPI PC2350. Post them anytime you need help, because there may be other things to consider other than the sub's impedance and the number of channels on an amp.
Yep, lots of things to consider beyond that ....
First off, I assume it is a single-voice-coil (SVC) 2-ohm sub like a JL. If it is DVC-2-ohm, you can run it at 4-ohms and bridge the amp channels to it.
Second - we are assuming the amp is not 2-ohm stable bridged. 90% of them aren't, but a few Rockford and other brands are.
Third - we are assuming that the single channel 2-ohm output of the amp is reasonably close to the power handling of the sub.
Finally - if you run it off one channel, you want to use Y-adapters on the RCA inputs so you can send it left and right signal inputs.
Hope This Helps!!!
