I have a DVC JL Audio 10w2v4 (300 watt rms)
and I have a new kenwood 300 watt rms at 2 ohms.
Currently I am running the sub at a 8 ohm's because my old amp was bridged and would not support 2 ohms.. Well not I can run it at 2 ohms. Will switching it from 8 ohms to ohms make it alot louder? and should i do it.
You want to wire it like this:
As Ninja1283 already said - if your old amp was 300W at 8-ohms bridged, you won't see much if any difference in sound between the old and the new setup at 2-ohms (but you might see some improvement in current draw on the battery from the Class D amp). You should see a tremendous improvement from the Kenwood at 300W@2-ohms as opposed to approximately 133W RMS@8-ohms.

Model numbers and specs would be nice! (300W RMS at 8ohms will not sound audibly different than 300W RMS at 2ohms, but 75W RMS at 8ohms will sound much different than 300W RMS at 2ohms.)
If the Kenwood outputs 300W RMS @ 2ohms, then I would probably go that route.

You didn't post anything about the system that you are replacing, so I can't make any comparisons...
That said, your new Kenwood amp outputs 300W RMS x 1 @ 2ohms, which would be a good match for your sub when wired at 2ohms.
