HI Guys,        I've had this for about a year now and have been ok with the picture. But it is time, after all, to start adjusting the colors for the 3 formats Is anyone out there that could put me in the right direction as to what to do. Like give me some setups to work with. That would be a great help. The three formats are Dynamic, Normal and movie. I'm kind of skiddish just taking this on my own. Huh?

                     Best Wishes,   Don

WELL AGAIN BEAUTY IS ALWAYS IN THE EYE OF THE BEHOLDER.  THE IDEAL PICTURE MODE WOULD BE MOVIE WITH THE COLOR TEMP SET TO WARM 2, BUT AS WE KNOW EACH SET IS DIFFERENT FROM THE OTHER SO  I WOULD RECOMMEND WWW.TWEAKTV.COM AFTER YOU ENTER YOUR TV MODEL IT WILL GIVE YOU IDEAL SETTINGS FOR YOUR PARTICULAR MODEL, ALTHOUGH I WOULD STILL TWEAK IT A LITTLE MORE TO YOUR PREFERENCE.  THE MOVIE MODE WILL GIVE YOU A MORE NATURAL IMAGE WITH THE FLESHTONES NOT BEING TO SATURATED ETC.  AT FIRST YOU WILL THINK THE PICTURE LOOKS REALLY DULL AND IS LACKING COLOR BUT GIVE THE SETTINGS A FEW DAYS FOR YOUR EYES TO ADJUST AND YOU WILL NEVER REALLY GO BACK TO DYNAMIC OR STANDARD.  YOU WILL FIND THAT WITH THE SHARPNESS TURNED DOWN AND ALL PICTURE ENHANCEMENTS (I.E DNIE, EDGE ENHANCEMENT, ETC) OFF THAT YOU WILL HAVE A MUCH SOFTER, NATURAL AND LIFE LIKE PICTURE.  GOOD LUCK AND KEEP US POSTED.

DD I WENT AHEAD AND LOOKED IT UP FOR YOU. AGAIN YOU MIGHT NEED TO TWEAK THE CONTRAST AND BRIGHTNESS A LITTLE BUT THIS SHOULD BE PRETTY CLOSE IF NOT RIGHT ON TO WHAT YOU'LL BE LOOKING FOR.  HOPE THIS HELPS.

Hello SP3LL,

Thanks for the info, and of course going the extra to even look it up for me (can't beat that service) I will apply the numbers tonight. I looked them up some time ago, but was reluctant to try ( how reliable were the numbers I was reading, ya know) at that time they were just people's personal setups and I did not want to trust them. I did change them one time only to reset (pic was lousy).

                                      Thanks Again,     dds22

Is anyone with Samsung LNT4061f  having trouble with their set?  Is there a recall?  I bought this in dec 2007 and now it won't turn on(didn't buy extended warranty which was only for a year and the set is 1.6 years old.  .  All it does is click!  Anyone with this problem, please reply and see if we can get a recall if there's not one!
