Preferably something like a 32 inch. 1080p is also preferred. The TV would really only be used for blu-ray movies and gaming(360 and PS3). I also have digital cable so I'm not sure how they would work with the TV. Like, what cables would I need to play the two systems and watch TV with the cable? Would I need to purchase a different box to support the TV? I have cablevision. A problem I have that nobody seems to know a answer to is this: Every once in a while when I have the info scren up and I press the info button to clear, the DVR mute somes on, by MAGIC! The TV does not mute, just the DVR, and everything coming through the DVR is also muted .I have had my DVR replaced twice and my remote is the third remote. The remote control for AT&T mute only controls the TV mute, not the DVR mute. This only happens on the plasma tv, not on my other tvs. Anybody hace any ideas?

A repairman has been out to my home multiple times and, of course, since it is an intermittent problem, we cannot duplicate the problem.

The tech support, level 2, thinks maybe since this is a line of sight instead of an rf remote, the signal is being bounceed off the tv and causing the problem.

Anybody?

Now, it powers up fine and comes to the initial setup screen, I can make out the screen, it is just very heavily pixelated in four uniform boxes. I am an AV installer and have seen TV's when the plasma is shot, it looks somewhat like that, but my supervisor said its possible that it is the video board. The TV is not under warrantee anymore, so I would be replacing the part myself. If it is indeed the plasma, I will trash it, but what else could it be? I looked online for a panasonic video board, and it's not helping me at all. any suggestions?

Mitsubishi laservue

Are you going to bring back the Laservue TV in your Big screen lineup any time soon?');" title="Hmm - ">

The Samsung 8000 led tv

I have been to many retail stores like best buy ect. and have yet to see the Samsung 8000 led tv. Are there any places you may know of that show and or sell this particular model? I'm from Philadelphia.

Add-on audio to Plasma TV

I am going to buy a plasma tv from Crutchfield within the next few days. Do I add a link to my post?

A: There are two ways that you can add a link to your post.

1. Simply
include the link (i.e. http://www.crutchfield.com)
in the body of your post.

2. You
can highlight a word and then click on to insert a hyperlink. This will
bring up a pop-up box that will ask for the URL (i.e. http://www.crutchfield.com), Title, and
Target. Please set the Target to “Open Link in New Window”. This will help
ensure that everyone can get back to the forums easily.

How
do I add an image to my post?

A: To insert an image You will want to click on . This will bring up a
pop-up box with several options. The main ones are the “Image URL” and “Image
Description.” If you need a place to upload a photo you have taken, you can
find some nice options at:

http://del.icio.us/search/?fr=del_icio_us&p=image+hosting&type=all

Please do not post any copyrighted material.

Why
should I add tags to my post?

I do not want a cable box, or any type of receiver sitting on the TV. I have not been able to find a digital cable ready LCD TV which will take a CableCard. Some Plasmas are available, but too expensive and large.

Do I have any other options. I am not married to cable. Would switch to direct TV, Verizon FIOS (if it were available in my area). I understand that TiVO is cable card ready, but I con't really understand it. I understand that new TVs can be plugged diretcly into the cable, bypassing the cable box. I do that with my bedroom TV, but I can not get all the cable channels.

Can anyone offer any suggestions?

Thank you!

It looks pretty good 1080 pixel/40 inch screen for the price, but wondered if anyone has one or any feedback. Also this is very newbie question but if the TV is designed to work with BlueRay DVD players, can you use your older DVD playert? I seem to think that only BlueRay devices work with these (the point being to get you to upgrade your DVD player, etc)....

Any thoughts or tips on this TV or a better one for the same price at 40 inches would be great. I am really new to LCDs. Crutchfield's is out of this model so I may find it elsewhere w/out a service or installation package.

Samsung TV Wireless Connectivity

I am planning the purchase of the Samsung LN46B750 and would like to wirelessly connect the TV to the Internet, via one of the available USB ports.
I'm in the market for an additional big screen and want to get that auto volume leveling feature if I can.

Some TVs list it as a feature on their sets. There are inline gadgets that also claim to address the issue of loud commercials. But I've read negative internet chats and posts about their effectiveness.

Can anyone recommend a solution? A TV with sound leveling that really works? An inline gadget? A Home Theater System? All of the above?

TV broadcasters and signal providers have worn out my patience with those loud commercials that seem to have gotten louder, and more frequent.

If I were in the TV manufacturing business I'd make loud commercials a thing of the past on my equipment, and probably be met with instant sales success, even if my name was Acme. And if I were Sony, Samsung, or one of the other biggies, I'd own the market until the others followed my lead.

Can anyone help me with an equipment suggestion?

thanks
