&lt;p&gt;EQ is indeed Bass boost, and Frequency is the HPF or LPF cutoff as stated above.&lt;/p&gt;

The freq knob is the frequency the output is lowpassed or highpassed at, going to the speakers. If it is strictly a sub amp, it will be low pass only, so just set the frequency where you want it. In that case, the EQ might be bass boost.&lt;/p&gt;
