Photo Club

Here is a brief description of what it is about:

Crutchfield’s
photography enthusiasts decided to start a club where we could share
photos and talk shop. Every few weeks we choose a topic and shoot
pictures for that theme, then get together to look at our work and
compare techniques. On this blog, we’ll share some of those tips and
highlight a few photos from each theme. Plus, we’ll answer questions
about photography in the comments.

Check it out and let us know what you think.

DC FAQ

How
Do I add a link to my post?

A: There are two ways that you can add a link to your post.

1. Simply
include the link (i.e. http://www.crutchfield.com)
in the body of your post.

2. You
can highlight a word and then click on to insert a hyperlink. This will
bring up a pop-up box that will ask for the URL (i.e. http://www.crutchfield.com), Title, and
Target. Please set the Target to “Open Link in New Window”. This will help
ensure that everyone can get back to the forums easily.

How
do I add an image to my post?

A: To insert an image You will want to click on . This will bring up a
pop-up box with several options. The main ones are the “Image URL” and “Image
Description.” If you need a place to upload a photo you have taken, you can
find some nice options at:

http://del.icio.us/search/?fr=del_icio_us&p=image+hosting&type=all

Please do not post any copyrighted material.

Why
should I add tags to my post?

A: Tags help everyone be able to navigate the site better. Not only do
they improve the search functionality, but the tag clouds can also help narrow
down searches. You can see a list of all tags currently on the site here. You can
also create new tags which may help describe your post.

I
have a question that is not addressed here

A: Some other general questions about how to use the Crutchfield
Community Website can be found in the help
document. If you do not see your question addressed in this document feel
free to Private Message Jeff
Kitchen, or post your question in the Community
Discussion forum.

Throughout a typical day I could have 6 stops with 3-5 items to be crated at each stop. To document the existing damage before crating I take multiple pics of each item. At the end of the day I can have as many as 100 pics to sort through and try to attach to orders.

So the question is:

Does anyone make a digital camera yet that allows you to label/stamp each pic or series of pics while you take them. Like a date stamp option they all have but you get to choose what the label is.

I need Tips on Taking Pictures at Concerts?

I have the Canon 590IS 4x Zoom

i got a sony dsc-t100, my cousin bought it for me on crutchfield about two years ago. recently the camera has been vibrating, and can't seem to focus correctly. i found the same problem but with a diffrent model camera the t20, but the lens are the same with the t100. i called sony, and told them about my problem and they said my warrenty is over and i would have to pay $141.00 + tax and shipping to get it fixed. i tired to tell them that the camera lens on the t100 is identical to the t20, but they told me it was a diffrent manufacture realease date so its diffrent. is there anything i can do to resolve this problem? does anyone have this problem?

I have been using a P&S digital camera for years and I will be new to DSLR cameras (I am getting ready to purchase one from Crutchfield) and was wondering about ways of preventing or minimizing dust contamination when changing lenses, especially outdoors.

I tried a search on this topic and could not find anything in the forum about it.

Is there such a thing as a small bag into which the camera is inserted (kind of like the old developer darkroom bags used in the days of developing film) along with the lens for changing without having dust contamination? (Although changing lenses blind may not be the wise thing to do since I have never attempted it.)

Just wondering if such an accessory exists or is commonly used. I do realize that dust cleaners are built into cameras or that a photo shop could easily clean dust off the sensor or that software can be used to remove dust images from photos.

Photos from my Canon 590I Powershot

http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=1349058&l=befe9c8591&id=1044954614

I recently bought 2 x Sony Cyber Shot Camera as Christmas presents. Unfortunately, I purchased them directly from Sony Style On-line becuase the models I needed were temporarily out of stock at Crutchfield.

Over the past 3 days, I have spent more than 200 minutes on the phone trying to reach a on Sony's Support representative in an attempt to replace a faulty memory stick that was purchased with one of the cameras. Trying to reach customer support on-line is also impossible using Sony's website - there are serious flaws in their system.

Anyway, this is not really Crutchfield's problem, but I am wondering how Crutchfield is dealing Sony service issues with this incredibly frustrating service from what should be a blue-chip organization. I was looking to purchase a Sony Bravia XBR HDTV and BlueRay player this year from Crutchfield, but this experience with Sony has left me very bitter indeed.

olympus fe-360

guys im new here. i just wanted to know if this has a capability if taking picture underwater like the 850-sw. i will give this as a gift for may mom ty

EyeFi

Got the basic EyeFi as a gift from someone who assumed I'm running Windows XP.
