There's nothing wrong with them far as i can tell. They just don't fit very snug. First big bass line and the cone movement throws them off.

I was so excited when the authentic 6W0 grills arrived... but they blew right off! come on, JL! The subs sound better facing forward, anyway. Snare drums are snappier. I got an F3 of 32hz, without equalization. Too bad they stopped making these little wonders. I'll have to get 6W3's after i kill them.

That's impressive - you will want to add grilles over them so nobody accidentally puts a foot through one of them!!!

These boxes have external dimensions of 12.5 x 12.5 x 9. I was obsessed with making the boxes identical, so I had to modify the driver's seat to get that one under, but not a lot. Still determining the best positioning. They're square, so i can face them in whatever direction sounds best, and the sliders will still work perfectly. They're 6W0's tuned to 35hz, 100 watts each. Very satisfying to be booming them suckers and then open the hatch to reveal... nothing! I may yet build an EBS enclosure to drop in the hatch, but having stereo subs up front is sonic nirvana.

Even if the subs are only 6.5-inch, that power drill in the background is probably 10-inches tall, and the boxes are as long in each dimension as the power drill. If you have 4-inches of clearance under an XB and you raised the seats 6-inches, they'd likely hit the roof.

I'm curious how it will work out, though!!!!

Love having subs under the seats! Have you considered modifying the seats so they sit up higher? How much room is under there, anyway?

I just finished putting together these for the front seats of my xB. Kept ALL my cargo room!

It is possible, but can be tricky. I managed to get two 12"s underneath the rear seat of my GMC Sierra, but had to make a custom box with MDF and a fair amount of fiberglass. (Granted, they were fairly low power subs, and did not have a deep mounting depth, so YMMV...)

You could try making a sealed box a bit smaller then optimum for the subs and then not fully powering them and using polyfil in the box to make them sound like they are in a bigger box, but I'm not the box design expert.

Based on the measurements of your vehicle, I doubt you will have enough mounting clearance under the rear seats on your vehicle. The subs are going to need a specific amount of airspace in order to operate correctly. They will also need more mounting depth than you have available as well. There are some custom boxes that we have available, but they are designed to install behind the seat and it sounds like you have already explored those options. Sorry for the bad news, but hopefully someone on here has done a simliar install and can offer you some suggestions.

Any ideas out there?
