I did get an e-mail back confirming a combination of the two would be bad idea. The PXA-100 is far more advanced and will provide much better results.

Re: PXA-100 IMPRINT AUDIO PROCESSOR and PXA-H701 MULTI MEDIA MANAGER

Thank you very much Malcolm. I may be off base here, but my guess based on my current working knowledge of both processors is that they will not place nice with one another. I have experience with both processors and feel pretty confident in saying that. However, there is another person here at CF who will know definitively whom I have just sent an email to running the idea by them as well. I'll let you know if their response indicates otherwise.

PXA-100 IMPRINT AUDIO PROCESSOR and PXA-H701 MULTI MEDIA MANAGER

I'm planning to upgrade my sound system by changing my head unit to Alpine IVA-W505 multimedia station. As I read the options or available accessories, I got interested with Alpine PXA-H100 IMPRINT audio processor. Then I became interested as well with Alpine PXA-H701 multimedia manager. I would like to know if it is ok to install both of these units to the IVA-W505 without making some sort of redundacy when it comes to function or if they will complement each other. Thanks.
