Hey i have a pair of Polk Momo MMC 690 6"x9" 3-way Speakers and i wanted to upgrade my front speakers too. Someone had told me its better to keep to one brand when putting front and rear speakers in but they dont make polks that run 100rms or close to it for 6 1/2 for under 150$. I did see a pair of Alpine SPS-600 for 100. They are 80 watts rms and i was thinking of running a 4 channel 80watt rms amp to power all 4. Is there any real reason not too? Anything i should consider?

Basically, if you like the sound of the speakers, there is nothing to worry about.

People recommend staying with the same brand for what is called "timbre-matching" - basically each speaker manufacturer emphasizes some frequencies and diminishes some others.

Normally, for the purest and most realistic sound, you want these to be close.

However, I have heard of people purposely avoiding this - for example Infinity speakers up front for the pure, clear (and some will say exaggerated) highs they produce, and Pioneer, Polk, or JL speakers in the rear for the bass that some of the Infinity speakers are not great at.

In short, it is not recommended to mix brands, but sometimes people do it intentionally, and if you aren't overly-discriminating, you likely won't even notice the difference.

Hope This Helps!!!
