I have an 2001 Chevy Silverado. It has aftermarket speakers all the way around. Sony 6.5's in the front and Pioneer 4x6's in the back. Well I don't know if this is an issue but i live in Northern Maine and its really cold up here right around 0. Ok to get to the problem both speakers on the passenger side do not work. I just got into the truck one day and no sound from the speakers. I just put the speakers in about 6 months ago. I have a Sony head-unit also. I would like to know what's wrong with my speakers. I have not checked the wiring from the cd player but I did it myself so it should be good. Thanks Justin34

Assuming you don't have an amp, then it's either a short on a wire or speaker, or there is something wrong with the head unit.

You're going to have to pull the radio and start by making a visual inspection of the speaker connections. If there's nothing obviously wrong, you'll need to disconnect all four channels and then hook them back up one at a time.

The idea is to get one speaker playing and then reconnect the others one at a time until the problem comes back. This will identify which speaker channel is the problem.
