my set up is as follows

2 X JL 1/1000 powering 2 alpine 12" type x's

alpine MRV-F400   4 channel amp powering 4 component speakers

what kinda distribution block will i need is the... Tsunami FDB1022 (2) ANL / (2) MINI-ANL 4 Position Digital Distribution Block recommended ? features are as follows

  • 4 Position (2) ANL and (2) Mini-ANL (MANL) fused block with blue voltage display
  • Input - (1) 1/0 gauge and (1) 4 gauge
  • Output - (2) 4 gauge ANL fused
  • Output - (2) 8 gauge Mini-ANL (MANL) fused
  • Uses ANL and MANL fuses
  • Includes (2) 100 Amp ANL fuses and (2) 60 Amp Mini-ANL fuses
  • Digital LCD voltage meter
  • Blue LED status lights
  • Audible blown fuse warning
  • Bright nickel finish blocks
  • Resistant to corrosion
  • Heat resistant acrylic cover
  • Use with Tsunami cables and fuses for best results

i ordered 1/0 tsunami amp wiring kit not sure if distribution block is included

According to this, you need 2-gauge from the battery (1/0 is fine, though) and 4-gauge to the JL's and 10 or 8-gauge to the Alpine, so that block should work fine.
