I have searched but did not find an answer to this issue. I have a DDX 512 installed which I love! I recently purchased the KCA-iP301V for use with my Ipod classic. From everything I have read, it would seem that video is supported with this cable when using the classic. Except, while it plays music, displays album art, etc. I get no video. Simply says "No video input" on a blue screen. I hear everything just fine though. Any ideas? Have I missed a setting somewhere either on the ipod itself or on the HU? I have seen posts about the 201V and 300 but not this latest cable. Thanks for any information!

Hello scottie137 and welcome to Crutchfield forums.

The first thing that comes to mind is that this cable is compatible with 2009 Kenwood Multimedia head units equipped with a USB connection and an auxiliary input. The models include DDX 514, DNX 5140, 6140, 7140, 9140, and the KVT 514. Your receiver was produced in 2008, however there is a firmware upgrade that should make this cable work properly. You can find what you need below:

Hope this resolves your issue.

Thanks for the suggestion. The firmware was updated for both the ipod and the HU already. While playing with the HU the other day, I noticed a menu for "video" under the ipod interface. It was on a sub screen that I hadn't accessed before (the instructions make no mention of it that I could find). Well, I pressed it an what do you know? Video from my ipod! I will go out to the car and take down more detailed instructions and post them on here...

Scottie,

How did you fix this issue?  I have the DDX514 and it does the same thing.  I think that the menu interface is pretty similar.

Thanks in advance.

Matt
