Hello, I picked up a 50" Panasonic Plasma (th50px50u) a couple weeks back from a customer that was throwing it out. Now, it powers up fine and comes to the initial setup screen, I can make out the  screen, it is just very heavily pixelated in four uniform boxes. I am an AV installer and have seen TV's when the plasma  is shot, it looks somewhat like that, but my supervisor said its possible that it is the video board. The TV is not under warrantee anymore, so I would be replacing the part myself. If it is indeed the plasma, I will trash it, but what else could it be? I looked online for a panasonic video board, and it's not helping me at all. any suggestions?

Your best bet is to check with Panasonic directly, or to take the TV to a Panasonic repair center. Taking the TV in will cost you just to get a diagnostic, so I'd try to call Panasonic first to see if they have a short and easy answer.
