I live in the NYC area and have a samsung LCD 32 inch tv.

I can get all of my local channels using rabbit ears ,I get perfect reception.

Some channels come in on HD/2 sub channels with a right side bright green bar ,anyone else see this? One channel is the weather plus channel .I have no way to fix this.I called Samsung they played dumb.HD channels are perfect -ok?Its just the sub channels.2nd TV, i took the other back !weird huh?

I have noticed that sometimes the sub channels are sending a lower signal strength than the main broadcasting channel from the broadcaster.  You may need a bigger outdoor antenna, and possibly a distribution amp to pull these sub channels in.

The Wx plus channel is an SD channel encoded into the same bit stream as the main channel. There can be no difference between signal strength. I would guess something in the monitor. I am assuming you are displaying an SD signal on a 16:9 screen. The side bars in that instance are controlled by your tv.
