I heard there was a recall and then I read that was a rumor so I was trying to see what anyone may have heard, of this model the Samsung 40-inch LNT-4061F. It looks pretty good 1080 pixel/40 inch screen for the price, but wondered if anyone has one or any feedback. Also this is very newbie question but if the TV is designed to work with BlueRay DVD players, can you use your older DVD playert? I seem to think that only BlueRay devices work with these (the point being to get you to upgrade your DVD player, etc)....
Any thoughts or tips on this TV or a better one for the same price at 40 inches would be great. I am really new to LCDs. Crutchfield's is out of this model so I may find it elsewhere w/out a service or installation package.
Welcome to the forums.
for your question on DVD players: As long as the TV you are looking at has a input connection that corrisponds to an output connection on the player you will be able to hook up the two components. Component connections and Digital Audio are pretty standard these days for non High-Def players.
In almost all instances you won't need to upgrade your player for the new TV.
I personally don't have any experience with that TV, but maybe one of the other memebers of the forum will chime in with some thoughts.

Do you still have this set? I got one in 12/07 and it won't come on all it does is click. I called samsung and they said they would call in 48 hours but that has come and gone. Plus I didn't buy the extended warranty so I would have to pay for repairs. Is there a recall? Does anyone know how to get a recall? I would definitely do the leg work to get this started. Anyone contact me plz
