anyone ever had their sound cut out with the wipers running?  I had this problem today while listening to my mp3 player, and it would cut out to some radio station.  I tried turning the volume way down and it fixed the problem but I'm just kind of wondering if it was most likely a possible short somewhere in the wiring?

i am going to say you have a short across the radio and the wipers...or a number of things...

it might be that your charging system has took a leave of absense...when today you probably had the : heater on - headlights?- radio....and the engine runing....if this is so it would mean that you charging system is not able to handle the amout of power that is required for you to operate your car...

1st thing i would do is go to a local auto parts store that does  free battery testing...and charging system test....

ya it happened on the way as I was driving back from school.  It was dark and rainy and I had my stereo at 45 out of 62 volume wise.  (it was a really good song)  It was weird though cuz I turned the volume down and it stopped cutting out and then I turned it back up and it didnt cut out again.
